Vintage car indicator switch

This was offered as an after sales add on and not, as far as I know, available in any production car. It was designed to fit around the steering column and allow easy control of the car indicator lights (turn signals). My switch has a light mounted in the red knob which I imagine flashed in time with the indicator lights. The switch is rarely seen on ebay and I suspect the few that do appear are mainly bought by Anderson enthusiasts building replica Thunderbird 1 pilot seats. A very similar product is still manufactured today and available via classic car retail outlets eg Holden Vintage and Classic The dimensions are the same as the original switch, the black version does not illuminate but the green one does. I have never noticed the switches used in the Anderson productions illuminating so the feature is probably not worth the extra cash. The knob shape is slightly different and I have therefore scanned and reverse engineered the knob from my original switch to enable others to print facsimile switches. I have also modelled the whole switch as part of my TB1 chair model and successfully printed it in scale (approx 60%) for the Big Chief replica Scott.
